The Cambridge Human Resources Information System (CHRIS) underpins many of our HR systems used in the University. Implemented in 2007, it replaced an in-house developed system which had reached the end of its useful life.

With the requirements for on-line staff information and services, the CHRIS system acts as the central database for staff records which are used for administration associated with staff who are employed, or were employees of the University. This includes administering the payroll, annual staff returns to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) and making payments into the pension schemes.

With CHRIS maintaining the staff records, we continue to develop a new generation of on-line services that are tailored to the unique needs of the University, and support our range of internal processes and multitude of departments and institutions. Recent examples include the staff salary sacrifice scheme, pension auto enrollments, and on-line web recruitment.

From this page you can access information on the full range of services available.
